Asset/Liability Modeling

PBI is distinct in the pension consulting landscape in that we are one of the only firms where liability-driven investing and funding is the primary financial strategy of our clients. This strategy has served PBI’s clients well, particularly given the volatile state of the current economy. Almost every pension plan we serve that has utilized this investment strategy is fully funded on both a going concern and solvency basis up to the end of 2008. Once the investment strategy has been determined, PBI will work with the trustees to select the appropriate investment manager to develop and execute an investment policy for your plan.  Our years of experience have afforded us a wide network of industry contacts, and we keep detailed records on a large number of qualified investment managers.  We will work with trustees to select the right investment manager for your plan, and then work with the selected manager to ensure the needs of your plan are met.

Performance Monitoring

PBI will also monitor the performance of the plan’s assets and ensure the return on investment is meeting your plan’s needs.
