Susan Chortyk, B. Sc. FSA, FCIA

Susan Chortyk has over 30 years of pension industry experience.  She has been the consulting actuary to a number of organizations in the private and public sector, but has spent the majority of her career serving large, multiemployer pension plans.  Susan has been responsible for many assignments involving the design, implementation and funding of pension plans, plan governance and assistance to clients in the overall administration of their plan and trust arrangements.

Susan is a founder and Vice President of PBI Actuarial Consultants Ltd. and works in Vancouver, BC.  Immediately prior to forming PBI in 2007, she was a senior actuary and consultant with Watson Wyatt where she worked for almost 30 years.

Susan holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia.  She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
